Moke Yuzuhara’s Adachi and Shimamura Manga Goes on Short Hiatus
Kadokawa’s monthly comic Dengeki Daioh magazine announced that on Friday Moke Yuzuhara’s manga based on Hitoma Iruma’s Adachi and Shimamura (Adachi to Shimamura) the yuri novel series will be on for a brief hiatus before returning in the winter.
Iruma began this novel in Dengeki Bunko Magazine in 2013 with illustrations by Non (the magazine was shut down on April 1, 2020). Seven Seas began publishing the light novel series in June of 2020.
Yuzuhara launched the manga adaptation in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in May 2019. Kadokawa released the fourth Volume on the 26th of February. Yen Press launched the manga in English in February 2021. The company published its third volume on the 7th of June. The manga’s description by the company reads:
On the second level of our gym. It’s where we’re located. Classes are in session this moment, however, there isn’t a class at the same place as this. This is how Shimamura and I met. What’s the matter with this?
Yesterday I dreamed about kissing her. It’s not me and I’m pretty sure Shimamura isn’t too. But…when Shimamura thinks of the word “friend”, I want to be the first thought that pops into her head. That’s all.
The novel has inspired a TV anime adaptation, which debuted in October 2020. Funimation broadcast the anime when it was aired in Japan.
Mani created a manga series that was three volumes of the novel series available on Square Enix’s Gangan Online website from 2016 until 2017.
